Where to find ideas for startups?
Discovered a new interesting project, you have already thought, “Why didn’t I come up with this? It’s so simple and so brilliant!”. Sitting down and coming up with a suitable idea for a startup isn’t easy. But you can get great ideas out of almost everything that surrounds you if you change your lifestyle and thinking a bit.
Famous American entrepreneur Paul Graham said: “The best way to find an idea for a startup is not to think about it.” And that’s right. You should not have to focus on the idea of “what you can make money on”. If you follow the points described below, the idea for a business will come to you.
Look at business from other countries
The world is huge. All around the world exist successfully working and making a profit kinds of businesses, which you do not know yet about. Learn modern business ideas in different countries — travel, look for on the Internet, communicate with experts. Look for the latest projects, think about how to adapt them to your market conditions.
Think about the future
Try to imagine what the world can be like in the future: how far technology will go, what new services and products will appear, what new needs people will have. Yes, not everyone has the talent to create something innovative. But you can come up with a product that accompanies or complements the products and services that will exist in the near future. The main thing is to do it first.
Develop existing ideas
You don’t have to come up with something drastically new. Most existing ideas are formed from others by improving, expanding, or, narrowing down basic functions. Think, to what field of activity can you bring something of your own? If you give people a chance to look at an existing product from a different angle, this product can become completely new for them.
